The database had been compiled and is maintained by Catherine Richards, from her own research and material supplied by Carroll collectors. The postcards include:
Reproductions of illustrations or stand-alone art works inspired by Carroll's works
Reproductions of photographs of or by Carroll and people he knew
Images of actors who have appeared in Alice productions
Images of memorials, churches, houses and buildings with a Carroll connection
Cartoons, advertisements, and other cards inspired by or in some way related to Carroll's works
Images and advertisements for carnivals, performances, exhibitions, etc.
